Di(2,4-chlorobenzoyl) peroxide is a white slightly yellow paste, which is a diacyl organic peroxide. It is a strong oxidizer.Its CAS number is 133-14-2 .
Di(2,4-chlorobenzoyl) peroxide is also known as 2,4-Dichlorobenzoyl peroxide,DCLBP and DCBP.It is very sensitive to impact and friction, so it is generally made into wet powder or a paste like substance in various inert media.DCLBP is slightly toxic.

Application
DCLBP is usually used as a vulcanizing agent for extruded silicone rubber, and resulting in products with high strength and good transparency.Compared with other peroxide vulcanizing agents, it has less sensitivity to acid, but carbon black has an impact on its vulcanization and cannot be used in rubber compounds with carbon black. The activation temperature of DCLBP is relatively low, with primary vulcanization at 100-120℃ and secondary vulcanization at 180-220℃.
