Tert-butylperoxy-2-ethylhexanoate is a colorless transparent liquid, which is an ester organic peroxides.Its CAS number is 3006-82-4.
Tert-butylperoxy-2-ethylhexanoate is also known as TBPO.Compared to TBPB and DTBP, TBPO has a half-life temperature of 185℃in 1 second, which is an efficient and fast initiator that can quickly initiate polymerization at lower temperatures, increasing the production capacity of the polymerization reactor. TBPO initiates polymerization at lower temperatures, and the reaction releases heat evenly during the polymerization process, making the reaction easy to control.

Application
TBPO can be used for polymerization initiation of styrene, with better activity than BPO, and can also be used in combination with peroxides such as TBPB and TBEC. It is also an important initiator for EVA copolymers. This product is a high-temperature curing agent for unsaturated polyester, with a curing temperature of 120-160℃.

Storage
TBPO needs to be stored in a cool and ventilated space. Keep TBPO away from sparks and heat sources. When handling, care should be taken to prevent damage to packaging and containers, and impact and oscillation are prohibited. Personal protection should be taken during packaging and handling operations.
