Paramenthane hydroperoxide is an organic peroxide.Its CAS number is 80-47-7.It is a colorless to slightly yellow viscous liquid.It is a strong oxidant.It can explode when mixed with reducing agents, sulfur, phosphorus, etc.It can explode when heated or impacted.
Paramenthane hydroperoxide is also known as 8-P-menthyl hydroperoxide and PMHP.
Application
PMHP is used as a polymerization initiator for styrene butadiene rubber and nitrile rubber. And it is also a crosslinking agent for unsaturated polyester.
